Uncle Teo.jpg

Theo Oboje - UncleTEO
Top Entrepreneur Finalist

Theo Oboje started out promoting and selling tickets for university events. However, he always felt like representatives were often taken advantage of and underpaid (if they were paid at all); one day he decided that he wanted to organise his own events, whilst giving his reps a much fairer commission than he had ever received.

UncleTEOPr was born, through his knowledge of the uni scene, paired with his affordable ticket prices and his unique marketing skills. UncleTEOPr has hosted international stars such as Pop Smoke, Drake, Headiest One, DBE, Tim Westwood and Tory Lanez.

Motivated by the work he has done, Theo has branched into a number of other professions such as student housing lettings, content creation and managing talent. His most recent achievement is, he now hosts his own radio show in Leicester, which reaches around 30,000 monthly listeners.”

Onyi - Founder of YLA
Best Influencer Award Finalist

"I am a Criminal, Extradition and Family Paralegal, currently working in Goodman Ray Solicitors, in the Childcare department. I founded the Young Lawyers Association in 2018, where we began giving free legal advice in Criminal, Family and Immigration Law. In August 2019, we began going into schools and colleges, teaching young people their rights when it comes to stop and search. The feedback received from the schools, teachers and pupils has been incredible, and we are so excited to be working on our campaign to get stop and search and police powers into the curriculum. We are also working on two exciting new projects which we are hoping to launch in 2021. The new projects include work experience for Law students, and marginalised young people in PRUs. I am super proud of the work we do at Young Lawyers Association, and hope that as we continue to grow as an organisation, we are able to help those who need it, and influence policy changes."
